Summary: Action opera - good watch but...

Dik Chin played by Connie Chan Po-chiu is a general for China and (he) had 4 best buddies who are part of the army. One of them Chu Kei Kuai, accidentally attacks one of the nations outside of China - so the king sends his daughter out to get him - Seung Yan Princess played by Lee Qui On. Dik meets Lee and she falls in love with Dik but Dik cannot reciprocate because it is against the rules of the country and king. They fight and (he) loses and Lee forces (him) to be her husband but they do fall in love.

The latter part of the movie shows Dik needs to leave to fight the war and later Lee comes to (his) rescue.

The opera fight scenes done by both of these young ladies are extraordinary. The songs are nice and the chemistry between the two are nice.

The complaint is that there are lot of scenes cropped out - perhaps dued to age and the audio some parts was Mandarin then became Cantonese.

Overall, if you put tha aside, the movie is a good introduction to action cantonese opera. You don't have to understand totally what is sung or said - you can enjoy the chemistry between the players

In as far as acting it is very good but unfortunate for cropped scenes and audio
