Summary: An hilarious comedy caper from John Woo

Money Crazy is a funny caper film that was made during Woo's screwball comedy period. Ricky Hui portrays an inept bodyguard who's regarded as a jinx by his peers because of the unlike fates of his previous employers. Richard Ng stars as a money hungry P.I./con artist who crosses pathes one day with Ricky. Eventually the two form an uneasy bond. The two deciede to team up and rip-off a real sleazy precious gems dealer. As with all of John Woo's earlier films he uses action set pieces that would eventually end up in his later films. I enjoyed it very much and so will you. For John Woo fans.

This movie is finally availible on DVD and it's in widescreen with easy-to-read subtitles.

There is a bodyguard who couldn't be trusted to guard snowin the North Pole, a private eye who freelances as a blackmailer, a beautiful young girl who sidelines as an extortionist, and a rich crook. Then there are diamonds, double-crossers and counterfeit payoffs. It all gets pretty mixed-up, but the participants get what they deserve in the end -- more or less.

Quite a silly and not very humorous movie so you might not want to go out of your way to rent it unless you are a die hard Ricky Hui fan or you just want to study what John Woo did before his gangster movie days.
