The Old Master

Summary: Joseph Kuo??????Thats what it says on the box.

A very unlikely film for Kuo. More like, if you put your name as director we'll give you some money. Its set in Los Angeles. An old kung fu master has to save a school from its rivals. So this old guy with an ever changing body shape takes on all the masters from the other schools. He beats them up, luckily he had a good stand in. But, the school that he suppose to be saving was just making money off of his bouts. What can you expect from the exploitation city. The master gets upset, disowns the school and teaches this other guy kung fu. He uses dancing(popping) with his kung fu, which wasn't thought that way. I guess its old world meets new world. It looks a bit ridiculous, and adds to the laughter. Funniest part, everytime the master fights. Choreography wise, not Kuo like. Very slow motion unorthodox tai chi. They used some local talents in this one. Believe it or not, I found this enjoying.
