I laughed very much with this one. Wong Shui is a wonderful supporting actor and in the funny scene of the brothel he was fantastic! The last appearance of of Iron Neck on the movie was very strange, if you liked El Cid with Charlton Heston maybe you'll like this cheaper version.

If you look at the title, you may be asking yourself, “what the hell is Iron Neck Li?”. Does this Li guy have a strong neck? That’s the question that the Emperor asked Li Yung (Chi Kuan Chun). According to Li Yung, the reason he is called “Iron Neck” is because he always helps people. He always puts his neck on the line and helps those in dire need. This flick is reminiscent of the Shaw Brother flicks done by Li Han Hsiang on the famous Chinese Emperor, Chien Lung, but not quite to the level of the Shaw Brothers in terms of money, casting, and elaborate sets. What this flick lacks in comparison to the Shaw Brother’s flicks, it tries to make up with crazy gung fu and the weird bring-back-from-the-dead hero a la NA CHA THE GREAT. Basically, this flick is about the travels of Emperor Chien Lung, his Eunuch-assistant named Wang Fa, and Li Yung who travel from Peking to Taiwan checking out the Chinese countryside, the food, and the many hardships of the common people. For the most part, the movie is pleasant with the typical Taiwanese gung fu comedy, but things change for the worst as Li Yung is blamed for the death of a sex crazed nut (Hsiao Hou Tao) causing his Uncle (played by Tsai Hung) to call on the entire village to kill Li Yung and company.
