Summary
Starts as a take on BODY HEAT and Ascenseur pour l'échafaud/Elevator to the Gallows (1958), then changes tack and becomes a straight crime thriller. Young punk Eddy Fong (whose name mysteriously changes to Alan half way through !) is having it off with Joyce Ho, who is unhappily married to dull and middle aged office manager Ho Sun. Joyce says her husband won't divorce and is planning revenge, giving Eddy/Alan the motivation to plan the titular murder. The murder doesn't quite go to plan. Eddy stuffs up by leaving his ID card at the crime scene, and it is later revealed that Sun Ho had already been murdered when Eddy stabbed him. So, is Joyce playing him for a fool, or is someone else calling the shots ?
