Summary
Kwong Chor-wan is nearly strangled to death by a mysterious killer. The evidence leads her to the prime suspect, her husband Yam Tin-pui. Nephew Kin-shing entrusts the investigation with the private detective Ma To-kam, who exposes the secret liaison between Yam and a teenage girl Jenny Yam. In view of Kwong's request to seek a divorce, Yam confesses to sleeping with a taxi-dancer Lau Yee-yee in a drunken state prior to their marriage 18 years ago. Lau finally revealed his blood relationship with Jenny on her deathbed, and Yam secretly provides for Jenny for fear of upsetting his wife. The couple reconcile, but the assailant, Kin-shing, strikes again one night. The conspiracy of the covetous nephew and the detective to take the life of the rich heiress is thwarted by Yam and Jenny who alert the police to make an arrest. (Quoted from DVD cover)
