Began his career as stuntman in a TV station in 1979. In 1983 joined the Sammo Hung's Stuntman Association, where he learned martial arts and acting. Very soon he became action director and starred his own movies under the supervision of Sammo himself. In 1995 Chin's performance in "Full Throttle" wins the best supporting actor of "Golden Bauhinia Awards". In 1997 he gained high popularity as host (with Jerry Lam and Eric Tsang) of the TVB comedy program "Super Trio Show" and was awarded as "the Great Improvement New Star" in 1998 TVB Anniversary Show.
Younger brother of actor Chin Siu-Ho and assistant director Chin Ga-Lun.
