Lone Shaolin Avenger (1977)

Decent Korean martial arts film with Casanova Wong and Yeung Wai, with whom he shared the screen in Warriors Two. The plot is non-existent. Yeung Wai's choreography is really bland when it comes to the martial arts end, but very imaginative in its exaggerated use of wires, esoteric weapons, and booby traps. The final fight scene features some incredibly long shots of Casanova's repeated spin kicks and an unreal stunt in which the villain takes two flaming urns to the head. Recommended as a fun waste of an hour and a half. -S.M.
