a ringo lam directed andy lau vehicle. lau is a cambodian orphan who's parents were killed by a corrupt businessman (ray lui); now he's a member of the hong kong / thai airforce (couldn't quite tell which one) and he's out for revenge. after a failed assassination attempt, and a run in with rosamund kwan (who lights up the screen and out-acts lau with very little effort), lui's ornamental ladyfriend, lau heads off to assist the cia in the us. the cia are also after lui, but targetting his daughter and they see as lau as the man to do this...

entertaining stuff, with some pretty fancy set pieces and a great performance from rosamund kwan.
