Summary: Perfect ninties comedy
This is one great little comedy from 1990, directed by the prolific Wong Jing. Michelle Reis and Nina Li Chi play the 2 main female protagonists, fighting for the affections of a geeky, shy man (Lam Chun Yin) who stands to inherit a large sum of money if he is married within a few weeks. The cast is great and play well off each other, Wong Jing himself has an amusing role as the geek's cousin. Many of the standard tricks and situations are played out but played out well and in my opinion this sets Perfect Girls apart from so many of the lesser funny comedies.
I thoroughly enjoyed this film and the 90 minutes flew by, while not terribly original in the story, it is well directed, well acted and flows evenly. There is a lot of fun in this film and I would certainly recommend it and will be watching again sometime soon. It is a good comedy from the 80s/90s on many levels. If you can find it, watch it!
