Taking more than a bit of inspiration from Dragon Inn -- and thus Rio Bravo -- Mainland director Gao Qunshu's "eastern Western" Wind Blast initially holds some promise, but ultimately fails to deliver the good to the audience, instead being bogged down in dull performances, generic action set-pieces, and a story that becomes too complicated for its' own good.
