I found it somewhat disappointing. The theatre was packed, but the rest of the audience seemed as disappointed as I was. The basic plot was fine and this could have been a wrenching emotional drama along the lines of Ringo Lam's FULL CONTACT, but Andy Lau sleepwalks through his part and the production side suffers from the near-'97 hurry and sloppiness that seems to have infected every movie now coming out of Hong Kong. Rosamund Kwan and Ng Sin Lin are good, though.
