Passion Unbounded (1995)

The phrase "style over content" seems to have been invented for this film! Why the movie has a screenwriter's credit is anybody's guess: from the finished product, it looks as if they've just made it up as they went. The result: yet another woman's revenge thriller, beautifully photographed but devoid of any real thrills, because a possible motive for Carrie Ng's killings is nowhere to be found. It has a vaguely European, NIKITA-ish visual flair that is pleasant enough, but you will end up just sitting there, thinking: I must watch this to the very end; it has to have some meaning. Well, forget it! Stylish nonsense, but nonsense none the less.
