Dangerous Duty (1996)

This low budget film turned out to be much better than I had been expecting. It has a certain charm and silliness that slowly creep up on you as the film progresses. It takes a while to realize that the film is basically all tongue in cheek and not taking itself at all seriously. Max Mok heads a team of cops who protect witnesses. Pang Dan is the witness and Tsui Kam-Kong is trying to silence her. Lots of amusing parodies from Basic Instinct to my favorite of Chungking Express with Pang Dan doing her best Faye Wong wiggle behind the counter.
