A Gleam of Hope (1994)

Summary: Pathetic.
If someone wanted to make an argument that Hollywood was better than Hong Kong, they'd show the competent The Fugitive and this pathetic ripoff back-to-back. Combine pedestrian direction, a lousy score, no dramatic momentum, no real action to speak of, and a convoluted plot with a "surprise" ending that truly renders the whole thing pointless, and you're left with a big, fat zero of a movie.
