Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils (1982)
Reviewed by: STSH on 2001-01-25
Summary: Awful
Very talky, especially for an action film. And this is a big drawback for a print with no subtitles.
The opening and closing sequences look promising. The opening theme has the pounding rhythm of an old cowboy western, and this tune is repeated at the end. Unfortunately, the story loses direction from there on, and nothing much happens. There's a good prince and a plotting evil prince, and a bunch of people around them who keep changing sides in various permutations which make little sense.

Fans of the great Norman Chu, be warned - Stormin' Norman appears after 38 minutes and, though he has a couple of whirling fight scenes, he doesn't have much to do with the main story (whatever the hell it is !).

And, the final insult - the last shot is frozen and the end theme plays, but the stupid bastards forgot to put up the end credits. Arrrghghhhhh !
