Ninja in the Deadly Trap (1982)

Summary: Not too shabby
This was one of my premier introductions to old-school kung fu movies, and it was not a disappointment even though the video I bought only contained the first 50 minutes of the movie. The action is not extremely sophisticated, but I feel it is presented in a half-way-between-old-school-and-new-wave manner, and the fight between Chiang Sheng and Lu Feng was awesome at first sight!

This is the only venom movie without director Chang Cheh. Kuo Choi and others went to Taiwan to make his directoral debute. It looks terribly out of date - the way the film was shot, the super simple plot, the old school kung fu styles, and the low budget - though I'm not exactly sure of the year of production. If anyone knows please share it on the discussion board.

This is definitely an action-packed movie, especially in the second half. The characters are very cool as well. But again, the movie looks like it could have been made in the mid 70s.
