The Trail of the Broken Blade (1967)

Summary: A classic
This is a little-known film by Chang Cheh, but it is certainly one of his best work ever. The film focuses more on the characters and the plot rather than action, and that is perfectly fine with me. The story is heartwarming and convinces me that Chang Cheh knows how to make a good film. The action, on the other hand, could not have been more chessy.
