A terrible sit-through that consists of nothing interesting. One can have high hopes for the overall plot, but the result is simply dreadful. The martial arts has got to be the worst from any 90s wuxia movie. I mean, they don't have to be extremely good like that of Iron Monkey, Fire Dragon or Swordsman 2, but the action in this movie is not even up to the standards of old-school movies from 15 years ago.

I liked the emotional appeals from the romantic subplot (as I always would), but they're far from adequate enough to save the movie. Plus, the leads were extremely uncharasmatic, which certainly didn't help at all. Best to avoid it at all cost!
