GEGE - A beautiful independent production from HK, on which Andy Lau was credited as "advisor" (financier?). Simple narrative surrounds a young man who journeys from HK to Qing Hai province in the North/West/Centre of China. Although his brother has moved on, he acquaints himself with 2 of his brother's friends. With truly breathtaking scenery, GeGe is shot in a semi-documentary style, which gives you a real feel for the characters and sense of purpose to the uneventful 90 mins. Turned out to be a great accompanying piece to Paul Theroux's RIDING THE IRON ROOSTER, which I am reading at the moment and would also highly recommend. I hope GeGe receives some kind of cinematic/video release, because you deserve to see it.
