A classic ? Well, not really, but pretty good overall. The first 25 minutes are the sort of stupid comedy that blights many also-ran fu films of this period. This part of the film could have been cut to a couple of minutes in a flashback with no great loss.

But once Bruce starts to strut his stuff, things improve dramatically. This film is clearly one of many imitators of Drunken Master, which was a big hit in the previous year, and is not in the same class. However, one the full-on silliness calms down, there are some excellent and even graceful kung fu which is also entertaining.

Overall, warmly recommended.
