"Lion vs. Lion" is a little treasure that you'll fondly remember. It is filled with exceptionally well-choreographed fights and a delightful lion dance competition. The film stars Wong Yu and Lo Meng as two men unwittingly caught up in anti-Ching activities. John Wang Lung is the villain and Chin Yuet Sang, who co-directs the film and co-choreographs the action, as an Imperial agent, while Yeung Pan Pan plays the Ming rebel. The plot is not very original, but the movie proves to be a showcase for the intricately staged martial arts, expertly demonstrated by the cast. This movie bears repeated viewings, especially now that it is out on DVD. You'll keep your fingers on the replay button during some of the fast and furiously executed fight scenes. For those unfamiliar with lion dances, "Lion vs. Lion" contains some truly stunning work.
