DB Title Update: SPY GEAR (2001) Cast Pix + Probable MERGE

The latter definitely appears in SPY GEAR, Here he is:





and the only name in the SPY GEAR opening credits that comes close is Xi Yue. His role in this is substantial enough to warrant a mention in the opening credits, so I'm fairly confident that it's the same guy. Any thoughts?

In the cast, there is an actor called Nishikawa Takakazu

who also turns up in a movie called FINAL EDGE (2002), which features
this guy . . .

. . . who looks an awful lot like the guy pictured above. Now I'm wondering if this older actor is actually Nishikawa Takakazu and not the younger actor whose photo (from FINAL EDGE) accompanies his filmography. The younger actor pictured does not appear in SPY GEAR as far as I can tell.

Obviously, this could be a case where the filmmakers needed a Japanese name for their villain and used the real name of someone else in the cast, but again, the younger kid doesn't seem to be in SPY GEAR, which makes me suspicious. . .

??? (looks like he may be a Korean actor, as some are billed in the opening credits. This guy COULD be Nishikawa Takakazu, but I'm having a bloody difficult time convincing myself that this is the same actor pictured in Takakzu's biography. Maybe someone else can see it?)

The actor in the image is also in Story of Freeman. I'd vote that he is Nishikawa Takakazu and not the younger guy.

Just bumping this thread to see if someone can extract the headshots I provided above and add them to the entry for this film. I can take care of the names if you'd like, but I'm having a HELL of time uploading these directly. Must be time for a new computer or something, as this is an ongoing frustration. I can surf other sites in perfect high speed while I'm waiting several minutes for one little jpeg to upload to the site. Is this how it works for anybody else? Should I upload something besides Jpegs? Any help would be appreciated!!




EDIT: Holy s**t! It's actually working for once. Guess I'll get as many as I can before it craps out again. I'm now leaning toward the problem being the site and not my computer. Maybe I'm uploading when someone else is and it's taxing the system?


EDIT #2: Well, it slowed to a stop again for a while, then went back to normal, so I managed to get them all up there as quickly as I could. I've done the IDs I'm aware of, but plenty to ID still . . .

One more bump to say that Nishikawa Takakazu has finally been ID'd as the older guy pictured above, thanks to Teddy Wong.

This also gives us a pretty good shot at ID'ing Yao Ming (3), who's not in this film, so the subject is addressed in the thread linked above as well as the one for FINAL EDGE, which I just bumped as well.
