Wow, if ever a cast looked like it was made up almost entirely of extras and passers-by . . .

Still, I must see this movie now. 8)

Now I'm really puzzled. Does the shaven-headed guy on the front of the DVD actually appear in the movie? None of those cast portraits look like him.

I think the guy on the cover is not in the movie. So it might be Ben Ng :)
Actually, somehow he looks a little like this guy:

(I was hoping, you'll identify him)
I think this actor had a small role in Legend of wind. I'll upload portraits for that one in future.

Wow, if ever a cast looked like it was made up almost entirely of extras and passers-by . . .

It surely was :)

Still, I must see this movie now.

OK, but let me warn you: there are no english subtitles, there is no screenplay, there are no fight scenes, there are no good scenes, there is no acting, there is no budget, there is nothing interesting at all :) Oh! And there is no Ben Ng! :)

The less the merrier! I just seem to have this . . . thing for these no-budget pictures from that era. They got no love back then and they'll probably be entirely forgotten in as time goes by. I get 'em when and where I can around here. Occasionally one will surprise me, but most were obvious attempts to squeeze cash out of a contracting market. Reviewing them can be really tricky sometimes, especially ones like this, where nearly everyone is an unknown and the credits don't match cast members to character names. Still, this will be mine, some day.

Whoa, is it just me, or did some posts go missing in this thread?  Hope that's not happening elsewhere in the forums!

Can't remember if it was discussed here, but the plan was to remove Phillip Ko from this film right? (he's also incorrectly tagged in one of the photos). :|

When and where it was discussed???
It was me, who uploaded and tagged a photo with Phillip Ko. I know, the quality of the photo is bad, but it's really him

Oops. My bad, I guess. I could've sworn the subject came up here, but perhaps it was in relation to another film. Or maybe it was all in my head!

Still, in your previous post, you quote me from a post that no longer seems to exist. It's the quote where I started off "Now I'm really puzzled . . . " The post that came from doesn't show up for me anymore, and I think others might be missing. Weird.

Your original post was here

Now, the leading actor Image
seems to be the same actor as in Final edge Image
who's identified as Nishikawa Takakazu, but according to this thread it is doubtful that his name is really Nishikawa Takakazu

Is anybody willing to make a portrait gallery of Fat choi spirit (2002) and Dragon the master (2001) (I'll take the rest) to find out who the real Nishikawa Takakazu is?

Might also check Shadow Mask for Nishikawa Takakazu
HKFA lists him, sort of, as Iron Mask.

Well, that explains it! I kind of wish each movie could have it's own thread, but I can rest easy knowing my words weren't all in my head!

Those two shots of the younger guy are definitely the same person (good catch!). Judging from your link to my previous thread on SPY GEAR, we never really did get the Takakazu issue sorted out. Doesn't look like your credits from NEW DEBT COLLECTORS feature much of a cast list, so cross-referencing seems unlikely. :(

SHADOW MASK and SPY GEAR do seem to share some cast members, and were made about the same time, so a photo gallery for the former, if anyone has it (I don't), might provide a clue.

BTW, portrait gallery of Spy gear is not completed

Not by a long shot! When I did those, I only had time to run through the principal cast members and some of the more obvious, and easy-to-grab supporting players and extras. Definitely needs an upgrade, but I don't think I have the VCD any more. :(

Nishikawa Takakazu and Yau Ming (3) owe us big time. Without us, no one would know who they were! No one! I noticed he's got a couple of new portraits as well. Nice work. 8) Threads like this are a great example of the importance of detective work, even on these early 20th century B-movies (and C-movies, and Z-movies).
