Evil Dead takes Korea
South Koreans soak up the gory Canadian hit musical with unprecedented zest, especially the women
http://www.thestar.com/entertainment/Th ... cle/408944

Where are they going to "Do the Necronimcon" next? Well, producers from Shanghai, Hong Kong and Tokyo are all heading to Seoul in search of the next big thing . . .

It would certainly be cool to see a Korean take on Ash! Of course, I've still gotta check out the Toronto show before it ends!

And I'll bet somewhere around 80% of that 90% would think the original movie was either too intense or too stupid if you showed it to them. But stick a couple of hot guys on the stage . . .

An Evil Dead musical  Now that I would have paid to watch

The highly popular Splatter Zone, several rows close to the stage that get drenched in blood, still sells out first, but because the theatre is a government-owned building, the management has to be careful not to damage it permanently.

And so the free-flowing spigots of blood no longer spray over the audience. No, now the Zombies rush into the Splatter Zone in person, squeezing blood-drenched body parts over their screechingly delighted victims.

Ok. maybe not on one of the first rows though :P

I'm sure we'll eventually see a film version of this, a la LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS hopefully, so if it doesn't eventually make it's way to Norway, you'll still be able to see it:

Man, he is a dead ringer for Freddy Krueger in that picture... maybe before he got (nearly) all his hair burned off. I get really disturbed looking at that for more than 5 seconds
