Wow!

Ticking time bomb says, 'Boom'!

There are so many great quotables in the article.

and others thought they were awarded real degrees for life experiences. :?:

"I wish I had the records to prove all this," Hrushka wrote, claiming he took correspondence courses from St. Regis. "But unfortunately they were lost over time as I moved around a great deal." 8)

You've got the wrong guy,"

One cop even submitted his "tuition" from St. Regis for reimbursement from the department. :!:

The only one missing is, 'I'm shocked, shocked to learn my degree is not accredited'.

I'd like to think there'll be widespread fallout from this, if there hasn't been already (considering they busted that "St. Regis" diploma mill in 2005 ). The sidebar in that article already lists a few prominent fakers!

The sad part is that this (sort of) proves that some "specialized" jobs don't really require the education often demanded of the people who fill them. It's who you know, etc., etc.

Anyhoo, I'm off to pick up my new Bachelors, Masters and Ph.D.

Corporate/academic troughs, here I come! 8)

What? Not interested in being the Honorable Senator from Illinois? Surely you can pick up a US birth certificate somewhere on the mean streets of Toronto!

Senator? Hah! Dude, there's an Illinois governor's seat with my name on it. Just gotta pick up my paperwork from the . . . uhh . . . university on Thursday. And to all those who would oppose me: f*** 'em, those f****rs. 8)
