Totally agree with this article - so tired of hearing about "outraged Chinese netizens."

I'm focusing my outrage on AIG executive compensation packages. :x

In the past year or so, some (and most probably all ) of the Chinese bootleggers here have been adding a Blu-Ray strip across the top of their "regular" DVD/DVD-R product, or on the cardboard sleeves they employ as value-added material, presumably in a similar effort to con the city's many apparent rubes. I do recall passing one shop that had these "double-fakes" on a rack in the hall and overhearing a couple of folks going all apeshitty because they thought these were the real deal, and such a bargain! It probably won't be long before these 720p discs start showing up on our shores, with the 1080p versions in short order. :( Can't imagine western companies didn't figure this would happen sooner or later.

Understandably angry words! There seems to be an mild undercurrent of skepticism in a lot of the articles (and attendant reader comments) surrounding this incident--and not just the Canadian ones--either about the larger motives behind the trial or the oddly forthcoming nature of the perp, who was apparently even thoughtful enough to call the police after his crime. :?
