Typical late 80s horror comedy about an evil ghost trapped in a jar who is accidentally set free and then proceeds to wreak havoc among the family of a politician in modern day HK. Kent Cheng plays the mainland taoist in pursuit of the demon, and Jacky Cheung, Nat Chan and Stanley Fung are along for the ride.

This film has very few distinguishing characteristics. The humor is labored, the plot is predictable, and the action set pieces are strictly run of the mill. Kent Cheng has done much better work in films like "Spooky Family", and this particular movie ends up being nothing more than a below-average time waster that produces a few chuckles and some entertaining moments for fans of the genre but is otherwise completely forgettable.

Go watch some of the classics like Jeff Lau's Haunted Cop Shop films or anything with Lam Ching Ying instead.
