Summary: HK Horror Flick

US Residents- think a combination of 'It's Alive' and 'Blair Witch Project'.
It seems these days HK Films are desperately trying to copy the success of Japanese horror films like, The Ring and Shikoku, but just not with the same flair or intensity.
Average shocks, acting and story line. Nothing special; though they are trying hard.
Not recommended but not a thumbs down either. Luke warm endeavour really.

Summary: Poor

Well for what it is, a horror farce, it's not too bad. But for HK film fans, this is terrible and pretty uninteresting. But if you like cheap horror type films, you will probably find it quite entertaining. But for me, I can't say much positive about it, so I won't start.

Summary: Ummm........

The version i saw was of poor quality, i even was struggling reading the sutitles. For once, a hk movie with a little suspense. I did give me the frights a few times but most of it is in the 2nd half of the movie. There are 2 endings to this movie, though i only saw the "Blair witch clone ending" which was still pretty good.

I can't say anymore, because of the poor quality, i find it hard to comment about the other aspects of the movie since i was struggling so hard just to read the subtitles. This is only a rough judgement:

This is a very intense, well-made horror movie quite unlike most of the typical HK horror fare. No low-brow comedy here, no cheesy fx, but rather good acting and the scary parts are merely suggested rather than shown. Josie Ho is the standout, and while the story does have a few holes if you look at it too closely, it is effective in creating a sense of dread. The disc provides two alternative endings. I liked them both, although the original theatrical ending does seem rather derivative of The Blair Witch Project. Recommended.
