Summary
Wu Fat is the village head of the Wealth Village. He is very greedy and he wants to take the whole legacy. His brother Tak is lazy and jobless. Tak cannot share the legacy so he comes to Fat for money all the times. One day, Tak tells Fat that the Government will get back the land for building the highway, Fat immediately plans to acquire the lands from other villagers and waits for the compensation from the government. In order to have the lands bought at the lowest price, Fat asks Tak to arrange some people to pretend as ghosts to scare the villagers to sell their houses and move out from the village. The villagers are frightened by the 'ghosts' every night. Fat then recommends Tak to expel the evils for the villagers. Tak pretends to start his work but he announces to the villagers that his work fails because of there are too many evils in the village. The villagers have no choice but agree to nominate the village head to negotiate with the land developer to sell the lands. During the process, Lily, Fat's daughter comes back from England with other boys to the village for their summer holiday. Lily couldn't believe in ghosts and she plans to investigate the case with Fai and other boys in the village. They plan an outdoor barbecue activity in the night time and bring a video camera with them to record the moment when the ghosts appear. However, the ghost looks real horrible and all of them are scared to death when it appears. But they have quickly defined that it is not a real ghost as Fai replays the video and finds that the ghost is wearing a copy watch. Lily tells their findings to her mother and finds out that all the stories are created by her father, Fat and Tak, her uncle. To avoid the elimination of this beautiful village, the place where they grown up, they then decide to pretend as ghosts to scare the 'ghost'...
