Summary
	Premiered at Shanghai Film Festival on 2017-06-18. Prequel to Brotherhood Of Blades (2014) Shen Lian crawls out from under a pile of corpses during a late Ming Dynasty battle in 1627. Returning to his job in the imperial police, he is surprised to be offered an umbrella by a beautiful and mysterious woman. Palace intrigues draw him into swashbuckling battles, mysterious plots and ever-shifting allegiances, while he searches for what is really going on.
