The action opens with Ma Qun as an undercover cop who nabs Panther Wong, and is congratulated by his boss Inspector Kung Ching. Ma Qun goes home to have dinner with his pregnant wife and young daughter, and his best friend Soft, who asks to be the new child's godfather.
If you've already guessed that this happy domestic scene signals a grim revenge by the villain, you'd be right. Two of Panther's gang break in and wreak havoc. While the man ties up and rapes Qun's wife (in front of him), Agnes (Aurelio) shoots him (to wound) and his daughter (to kill). The man then kills the wife and blinds Qun. Panther visits Qun in hospital soon after (he wriggled out of the charges) and causes him more grief. Ching and Soft arrive to visit him soon after, but Panther has already left.
