Summary: Kent Cheng rocks
The Informer is a fairly standard cop film from the late 1970s, action, fights, (corny) comedy and some great script lines, it kept me enthralled and laughing at the same time, but for me one of the best aspects was a young Kent Cheng, he is just a great actor, playing an awkward, cowardly new-boy detecrtive.
I highly recommend this movie, it is the archetypal cops and bad guys movie from the late 1970s. It has all the ingredients in the right proportions. I loved it and the 90 minutes just flew by, it is well worth a viewing (or two). See it! 8 out of 10 (at least).
