Prison on Fire - Life Sentence (2001)

Boy, this movie could have been a real stinker. First off, we have an appearance by the dreaded Pabst Blue Ribbon beer, which marks a severely cheap production...

...and then we have fine subtitling and translation, which results in gems like "what a jumping butt".

But actually, Prison on Fire: Life Sentence (which has nothing to do with the Chow Yun-Fat films from the 80's) is a pretty good Triad movie. Don't get me wrong; you've probably seen this kind of thing dozens of times before, and the film (which was actually shot on video) is about as cheap as they come. But it does make a nice contrast to the over-glamorized Hollywood-style stuff HK has been cranking out lately, and that makes it worth a viewing for fans of the genre.
