Carry On Hotel (1988)

Summary: a step up from camping...
a collection of comedic scenarios, set in a gigantic (and quite fancy) hotel in singapore.

kent cheng puts cameras in a room that his whife has booked into so he can catch her cheating, but they seem to be broadcasting to a differnt room. a rock band and some bell-boys converge there to watch the 'action'.

in the next story, the hotel management team mistake richard ng for the company president, when he's actually a criminal who's come to rob the hotel.

the next story has eric tsang a womanising coach tour leader who get's into a close scrape with two jilted female psychopaths. my favourite...

finally, we have jacky cheung's fruitless pursuit of joey wang, when he should be expressing his love for his tom-boy co-worker (cecilia yip).

it's quite an odd (and very silly) collection of tales, but i assume that it is inspired by the english 'carry on...' films. any how, if you're in the mood for an all-star ensemble slice of daftness, you could do a lot worse than this.
