Johnnie To Kei-Fung’s first collaboration with Wai Ka-Fai was the best film those two did together except for Running on Karma (2003). The co-directors/co-producers delve into some interesting ethical themes surrounding the doctor/patient relationship and other issues of the healthcare profession that were making headlines at that time in the SAR with this comedy film.

A good, strong cast featuring Ekin Cheng Yee-Kin, Cecilia Cheung Pak-Chi, and Jordan Chan Siu-Chun does nice work bringing the well done script to life. Hui Siu-Hung and Lam Suet, as always, shine in their supporting roles. On an interesting side note, Help!!! is the first film edited by longtime To associate, Law Wing-Cheong.
