The Spirit of the Sword (1982)

Summary: A Let Down
With the cast being what it was, and after the opening when the back story and characters were introduced I was hyped to see this. Unfortunately 90 minutes later I was pretty disappointed.

The concept for the story was ok, not terribly original but ok. However someone should tell the writers when writing a mystery its important to keep the viewer unsure of what will come next. You can't even call it predictable as every supposed plot twist was transparently clear 15 minutes into the movie.

The acting wasn't much better. I got the feeling the actors knew how simple this was and they kind of just slept their way thru the script.

The fight scenes were ok for the most part but were hampered by the almost comically bad use of "special effects".

I'm not going to put anymore time into this review as the people behind this didn't put much time in making it.
