A chain of circumstances brings neighbors Lung and Shirley into eachother's lives. Small time gangster Lung is trying to save money to open up a noodle shop with his friend Ho B Jai (Ho Siu B in subtitles), while caring for his son at the same time. Shirley juggles a career and her impending marriage while caring for her senile mother. But every time things start to work out fate steps in and gives us another ten minutes of melodrama. A little more focus would have helped this movie a lot.
