They Don't Care About Us (1996)

Just back from abroad, Brenda Lee helps out a friend by substituteteaching her mischievous class. The students are cool to her at first, but warm up to her as she helps them learn life's lessons. Essentially a remake of _To Sir With Love_ (or maybe just a remake of _To Miss With Love_), Theresa acts as the master of ceremonies, dispensing standard issue Pearls Of Wisdom (tm) at the right moments. She doesn't get to do much, but her screen presence shines through; she's just plain fun to watch. Still, the movie's messages are pretty blatent, and the dramatic situations never have the intended impact.
