Constructive editing and use of doubles in fight scenes, excellent production values, exotic locations, car chases, a big Bollywood dance finale and an attractive international cast can't make up for a clunky script, wooden performances and a wretched structure with scenes that start promisingly but that go on too long.

There was a reference to the "Indiana Jones" movies--Jackie Chan plays, as we are told more than once, is the leading archaeologist in China--and a curious reference to Xi Jinping's One Belt One Road foreign policy.
