I liked Veronica a lot in this. Ray Lui is a slick, if notoutright crooked, Hong Kong lawyer, who comes to mainland China because his younger brother has been accused of murder. I can't tell you much about Veronica Yip's character without ruining the plot. There's a lot of comedy around the friction between Ray's Hong Kong ways and the mainlanders ways. Ray & Veronica interact really well. There's a third guy who plays kind of bumpkin Sherlock Holmes--I found his character both amusing and admirable.
