Jacky & Maggie Cheung make a likeable couple. Problem is they were clearly directed to play their characters like Gere and Roberts in Pretty Woman. Vincent as reserved and polite, Angel and sweet and exuberant. Partly because of this straight-jacketed approach, there's not much spark between them, and they are capable of better. The story lacks zip and runs out of steam near the ending, which is somewhat rushed.

However, it is a pleasant and light romance with a touches of comedy here and there, and pretty enjoyable overall.
