Long and Winding Road (1994)

This movie is fairly long and dull. However, it does have the redeeming feature of featuring Leslie Cheung playing George from the American TV sitcom Seinfeld. Other than that, it is not much to write home about.

Tony Leung Kar-Fai and Leslie Cheung play two losers. Tony is an almost likeable wannabe musician who works at a nursing home while Leslie is a schmuck, who screws pretty much everyone around him. It was kind of funny to see Leslie play a character who worked against his usual dramatic star image but that only goes so far. The plot, such as it is, revolves around their relationship as well as their mutual interest in Rosamund Kwan.

If this film had a point, it was mostly lost on me. I'm not sure exactly why I rented it. I guess I was bored. I've seen worse (much worse, really) but there is nothing in this film that would lead me to recommend it to others.
