There have been many black comedies made in Hong Kong but none are quite so self-aware than Help!!! It's equivalent to an HK version of "The Hospital". Both films deal with the bureaucracy that doctors must deal with to perform the simplest tasks in order to help their patients. But "The Hospital" didn't have the outrageous vision of Johnny To and Wai Ka-Fai. A departure for To in story but not in style. The only flaw the movie suffers from is the fact that it tries very hard to remind you it IS satire. We get it already! A very entertaining film nonetheless.
