Dark War (2001)

Summary: Decent Little Actioner
The only reason why I thought Dark War was good was because of the wonderful performance of Peter Ho as an ex-Triad member jailed for a crime in the Philippines. When he gets out, he seeks refuge from Yasuaki Kurata, who hires him as a hitman. Meanwhile, Ho's brother, now the crime boss, sends a psychotic man dressed as a police officer who find Ho. Peter Ho displays a dark side with some wonderful acting in his role of Triad member Ken. Timmy Hung (Sammo's son) is sadly a punching bag in the film, yet he does do some fighting (very minimal) and stunts as well. Kurata-san, still in his prime, fights in the beginning of the film with some intensity. I liked Dark War.
