Raped by an Angel (1993)

Summary: its no NK...

This film is pretty lame, and pretty pointless, other than just as an excuse for T and A.

On the positive side - Its good to see Chingmy Yau and Simon Yam doing what they can with their characters, actually most of the movie they're off by themselves not at all related to the rapist stuff. I found this quasi-romance between a gangster and a model/student kind of interesting (if it were any other actors, I probably wouldn't though).

As far as redeeming social value - I guess this movie gives people who might not otherwise have the chance to see just how difficult the task of reporting the crime of rape can be (and the anguish of going through a court case). I guess this redeeming quality what makes the people related to this movie be able to sleep at night.

The ending is really cheesy. It reminds me the lethal weapon films, where they 'let' the bad guy kill peopel and destroy the house just to wait to the last minute to spring their trap.

Its a good thing that the rapist forgot his condoms, otherwise their whole "plan" would have really backfired.

(well I guess people with AIDS don't mind being raped, as long as it helps them get revenge for their dead friends???)

Avoid this one unless you really want to see every film in the series or are a huge, huge Naked Killer fans and want to see Simon and Chingmy back together one more time. The picture on the poster doesn't actually appear in the movie either (sort of, but not really).
