... which takes itself way too seriously. Tony LeungCW nominally plays the lead in a semi-ensemble cast in this rambling soap opera about the lives and loves of a group of chic young people. When one of the girls is killed, Chow Yun Fat wanders in as a weird detective. The "drama" never rises above mundane, and is often confusing and apparently pointless. The only actor worth watching in this minor triumph of style over substance is Chow Yun Fat.

I find this film only for a few of its points of curiosity. For instance, one of the lead actresses also had a cameo appearance in You Only Live Twice - she was the girl in bed with James Bond when he was shot, in the opening scene. Also, this may be the only time when Tony LeungCW gained higher billing than the great Chow.
