Angry Young Man (1981)

Summary: Nice half-hour karate tournament, but not much else.
If Hwang Jang Lee is the only person drawing you to this film, then you should know that he doesn't show up until the final half hour, and doesn't fight until the final 10 minutes or so. For the first hour, this modern film is a real mess, with the good guys struggling against gang members and containing a very lengthy flashback. But the final half hour is an enjoyable (though unbelievable) karate tournament, with sneering Japanese and their Chinese sycophants behaving outrageously. (One guy, when losing, pulls a knife!) Of course, Hwang Jang Lee plays the head Japanese fighter in the final battle.
