Summary:
Another disappointment.

Once again, I've been lured into watching a movie starring Sammi Cheung, only to be disappointed by an eyebrow-raising, pointless movie. A large part of the movie was shot in Milan, but one can't help wondering if the crew was on some kind of shopping spree in Europe, and suddenly decided to shoot a few scenes here and there, and instead of making it into an MTV, they decided to blow it up into a full-fledged movie with a 15-minute plotline. The movie starts off ok, with a few funny moments, like Richie Ren (a Mandarin speaker) teaseing a character's Cantonese accent, or Sammi's blunders playing mahjong. But like another reviewer said, I had trouble convincing myself to watch the 2nd half of the VCD. The writers should have quit while they were ahead when they realized they didn't have much to work on, instead of shooting such meaningless scenes at the last 10-15 minutes of the movie.
I have a bad feeling Sammi Cheung is going to be nominated AGAIN as Best Actress in this movie for no particular reason. (Hey, she got nominated for looking lost and blank most of the time in "Needing You"!)
