Summary: Enjoyable comedy
As suggested by the title, you know it’s going to be basically comedy sketches and nothing else. If only these Hong Kong comedies could have been as funny as the British ones. Saying that though, it’s still a pretty funny film, but it’s very dated now. I’ve seen this one plenty of times before, and although at one point I probably quite favoured it, these days I’m not so sure. If you like the old style of comedies, then this is still a reasonably good one, but it’s quite stupid in places, and reminds me more of a Stephen Chow comedy. Loads of stars in this too helps it from getting stuck on the same characters all the time.
